I don't check this profile very often. Only when I have new stock photos that I'm not using for my own art. So if you message me about using one of my photos for something, chances are, I won't see it for a long time. So let me clarify some things that people keep asking me.
1. If you are a student, you may use my stock as needed for school assignments. I was an art student once. I quite frequently used an image without permission and took a lower grade. It was more important to me to have the perfect image than to go by the rules. So, I'm letting all students off the hook. Make some art!!!
2. Don't even bother asking if you can use my images in an ad or other project where you can make money from the use of my images. There are plenty of websites who will sell you images that are of way better quality than mine. And the added bonus of not stealing art is that you won't have to deal with feeling like a slimeball and a thief. If, however, you want to use it for your blog where you write about your feelings, your dog, the places you've eaten, etc.... then knock yourself out. Also, if you've written a book or made an album and are self promoting, well, you aren't really making money off of me or anyone else. If it is art, and it is a labor of love, have at it. But I expect a shout out on your book jacket or album cover. And maybe a couple bucks when you make it big.
3. Please, please, please don't take my images, flip them around, turn them black and white and call them your own. I understand that everyone needs for start somewhere. Feel free to use my images for practice. But don't do five minutes of bad photoshop work and then call it your own. Be original. Make something crazy!
4. Keep sending me your links. When I do have the chance to log on to this account, I love to spend hours looking at the art you've made from my stock. And besides, I'll favorite the work you do. It's a win/win.
Thank you to all that have used my stock!
